Bert Plante, a spokesman for the state Forest Fire Service, said the blaze broke out Monday in Bass River Township.
The fire forced the evacuation of Bass River State Forest, and the flames could jeopardize the park office, Plante said. He said he did not know how many people were evacuated from the park. - Staff and wire reports
