Three indicted in killing of Camden bakery's owner

Three men have been indicted by a Camden County grand jury in connection with the Oct. 14 killing of Oscar Medina Hernandez at his bakery in the 1600 block of Ferry Avenue in Camden, authorities said Wednesday.

Maurice Carter, 28, and William Cooper Jr., 32, both of Camden, and Rashawn Carter, 25, of Philadelphia, were charged with murder in the shooting death of Hernandez, 29, of Woodlynne, prosecutors said.

The three men entered Alex's Baker & Food Store about 8:45 p.m. intending to rob it, authorities said. Hernandez was shot in the chest and died at the scene. - Edward Colimore
