A UPS driver making his rounds in Chester was accosted by gunmen Wednesday and forced to drive to a spot several blocks away, where he was robbed of his packages, police said.
About 11:45 a.m., the driver called police and said he was delivering a package at Seventh and Engle Streets, near Veterans Memorial Park, when two men jumped in his truck, pointed a gun, and forced him to drive to Bunting Street near Front Street, where two other men were waiting, police said.
There, the four men unloaded the packages from his truck and put them into an SUV, police said. The UPS driver did not get a good description of the vehicle, and the car's plates were not visible, police said. The robbers drove off and left the driver at the scene uninjured.
