Authorities are asking for the public's help in the investigation into the death of a Camden County man whose body was recovered from the Delaware River.

The body of Homneer Alvarez, 26, of Audubon, was found floating near Pyne Point Park in Camden about 7:30 p.m. Thursday, the Camden County Prosecutor's Office and Camden police said. Alvarez had drowned, and his body showed no sign of trauma or injury, an autopsy revealed.

There is also no evidence suggesting foul play, officials said. Alvarez was last seen about two weeks ago, and officials are trying to determine his activities before his death.

Authorities are asking anyone who came into contact with Alvarez to call Thomas DiNunzio, an investigator with the Prosecutor's Office, at 856-225-8400. - Darran Simon
