Man, 20, found fatally shot in Queen Village

Police are investigating the shooting death of a 20-year-old man early Wednesday morning on a Queen Village street.

Officers on patrol heard gunshots just after 2 a.m. and found Karim Carter unresponsive on the 900 block of South Fourth Street. Carter, who lived nearby on the 400 block of Christian Street, was shot in the stomach, police said. He was pronounced dead at 2:44 a.m. at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. No arrests have been made, and police have not disclosed whether they have established a possible motive. - Allison Steele
