Teenager shot in Camden dies of his injuries

A 16-year-old Camden boy who was shot in the head in the city last weekend has died, authorities said Wednesday.

Police found Jonathon Acevedo lying in the grass median of the 600 block of South Seventh Street about 8:20 p.m. Saturday, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office and Camden police.

Acevedo was kept on life support at Cooper University Hospital in Camden until Tuesday. He died about 5:45 p.m., authorities said.
