Police were searching for two men who posed as police officers and snatched a woman's purse Tuesday in North Philadelphia.

The men approached a woman near the intersection of 16th and Champlost Streets about 2:30 p.m., police said. One of the men wore jeans, glasses, and a white shirt, and both carried badges identifying themselves as officers.

The men then committed a strong-arm robbery, police said, stealing a purse and a set of car keys. They may have fled using a white van. Anyone with information is asked to call police. - Allison Steele
