A Common Pleas Court jury began deliberations Wednesday afternoon on what could be Philadelphia's first death sentence in more than a year.
Daryl Thurston, 36, was found guilty of first-degree murder this month. The victim, Juan Rosa, 32, of Feltonville, was found dead in Trenton four years ago. Before being shot four times, Rosa was stripped naked, beaten, and wrapped in plastic. The case is being heard in Philadelphia because Rosa was forcibly taken from Philadelphia to Trenton.
The jury will continue deliberating Thursday. - Drew Singer
