Two sought in theft, stun-gun assault on guard

Upper Darby police are searching for two thieves who stole hundreds of dollars' worth of clothing from a Marshalls store on Christmas Eve, then fired a Taser at a security guard on their way out.

Upper Darby police are searching for two thieves who stole hundreds of dollars' worth of clothing from a Marshalls store on Christmas Eve, then fired a Taser at a security guard on their way out.

The guard at the 69th Street store was not seriously injured.

The thieves, seen on surveillance video, were described as black men, both in their early 30s and weighing around 230 pounds. They were last seen running on Chestnut Street toward a parking garage.

A Marshalls spokeswoman did not return a request for comment Tuesday. - Staff report
