Jurors deliberated for about two hours Friday before retiring for the weekend in the Trump Taj Mahal casino murder-kidnapping case.

Deliberations, which began after Judge Michael Donio completed a lengthy explanation of the laws that apply to the case, are scheduled to resume Monday in Atlantic County Superior Court in Mays Landing. Craig Arno, 46, of Atlantic City, faces murder, carjacking, arson, and related charges in the death of Martin Caballero, who was killed May 21, 2010.

Arno and his girlfriend, Jessica Kisby, were charged. Caballero, 47, a North Jersey grocer, was stabbed to death and his car was set on fire. The couple is also accused of using the victim's ATM card to make a $300 withdrawal after the killing.

Kisby, 26, has pleaded guilty. She testified for the prosecution during the 10-day trial that ended Thursday. Under the terms of her plea deal, she will be sentenced to 30 years with no chance of parole. Arno faces life in prison if convicted of the murder charge. - George Anastasia
