Man killed in skydiving accident

Rescue workers found Arkady Shenker, 49, behind a yard on Tuckahoe Road shortly after 2 p.m. after he had jumped from a plane that took off from Freefall Adventures at Cross Keys Airport, authorities said. Shenker was described as an experienced skydiver with 350 jumps and a frequent visitor to Freefall Adventures.
He died of his injuries about an hour later at Kennedy University Hospital-Washington Township, authorities said. The Federal Aviation Administration is being called in to investigate.
No one at Freefall Adventures, in Williamstown, Gloucester County, could be reached for comment. - Jan Hefler
