Schools lock down after a shooting nearby

CAMDEN Two schools locked down after a man was shot nearby Monday afternoon, police said.

The shooting occurred around 3:20 p.m. near South 8th and Morgan streets. HB Wilson Elementary School and the Creative Arts Morgan Village Academy went on lockdown, police said, but lifted the lockdowns by late afternoon.

The man shot was taken to Cooper University Hospital and his condition was not known, police said.
