Suspect arrested in Camden church robbery

A 20-year-old man has been arrested and charged in the gunpoint robbery at a Camden church on Sunday, police said Tuesday.

A 20-year-old man has been arrested and charged in the gunpoint robbery at a Camden church on Sunday, police said Tuesday.

Police said Delvonte Olmo-Pagan, of Camden, was the man who pointed a gun at church workers at St. Anthony of Padua Church on River Road and fled with a bag of cash before dropping as he was pursued by witnesses.

Olmo-Pagan was arrested Monday afternoon after an investigation by Camden County Police Detectives Nicholas Rao, Keith James and Robert Mulligan, officials said.

Olmo-Pagan was charged with three counts of robbery, four counts of aggravated assault by pointing a firearm and related weapons offenses, officials said. He is being held at the county jail with bail set at $960,000 cash.
