Body in car trunk in Burlco ID'd as Philadelphia woman's

Burlington County authorities on Friday identified the woman whose body was found in a car behind a Maple Shade hotel on Sunday as Maria Santiago, 38, of Philadelphia.

Burlington County authorities on Friday identified the woman whose body was found in a car behind a Maple Shade hotel on Sunday as Maria Santiago, 38, of Philadelphia.

Investigators tracked Santiago to the Quality Inn on the 500 block of Route 38 after her mother reported her missing. Her body was found in the truck of a sedan.

Jesus Garcia, 41, of Philadelphia, who was found with the car, was charged with concealment of human remains.

Authorities are still investigating how, when, and where Santiago may have died.
