All lanes of Route 42 North in Bellmawr will be closed for two nights, starting this evening.

The Monday and Tuesday night lane closings near the Creek Road overpass will be graduated: One lane will close at 8 p.m., two lanes will close at 10 p.m. and all lanes will be shut down at 11 p.m. The lanes are slated to reopen at 5 a.m. for the morning rush.

The New Jersey Department of Transportation and contractor PKF Mark III are closing the lanes to place wood sheeting under recently placed bridge beams, Camden County officials said.

During the closures, all traffic will be detoured from the heavily trafficked road to the Exit 1B ramp to Interstate 295 North, then to Exit 27 to get back to Route 42 North and Interstate 76 West.
