A masked man armed with a knife held up a CVS pharmacy in Cherry Hill early Tuesday and fled with pills after demanding Oxycodone, police said.

It was second such robbery at the CVS in the Holly Ravine Shopping Center on Springdale Road this year, though police said they are not sure if they are linked.

According to police, the man wearing a red mask that left a bit of a gray beard exposed entered the store about 1:15 a.m., showed the knife to pharmacist, and demanded the drug, a narcotic painkiller.

Grabbing an undisclosed amount of pills that were handed to him, the robber fled on foot police said.

The bandit is described as a white male in his early 40s, approximately 6-feet tall with a large build and an apparent gray beard. He was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and a red mask.

The previous robbery occurred Feb. 9.
