Three people were injured in a large fire that engulfed four rowhouses Friday morning in Burlington City. Burlington County dispatchers said crews were called to the blaze on the 300 block of St. Mary Street just before 5:30 a.m.

Firefighters battled heavy flames in the two-alarm fire affecting four homes, officials said.
Dispatchers said three people were taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Willingboro.
At least one of them suffered burns. Further details about the victims and their conditions were not immediately known.
Because of the blaze, the Captain James Lawrence Elementary School across the street was closed for the day.
Officials have yet to determine the cause of the fire.
