Lyft passenger, a Collingswood woman, killed in Trenton during robbery
A passenger in a Lyft vehicle was killed Wednesday night in Trenton after a gunman opened a back door, tried to rob the three passengers and driver, then fatally shot passenger Amber Dudley, 27, of Collingswood, authorities said.

The driver for the ride-sharing service tried to speed away when the gunshot went off about 7:10 p.m. near Mechanics and Trenton Avenues, the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office said.
Dudley was shot in the torso and taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead just before midnight. No one else was injured.
Dudley was with two other passengers, a man and a woman, but the Prosecutor's Office did not have details Thursday on whether they were family or friends, or where each passenger was sitting.
Casey DeBlasio, a spokeswoman for the Prosecutor's Office, said investigators are examining whether the shooting was random.
"It's too early in the investigation to tell at this point," she said, adding that she did not know how long Dudley had been in the Lyft vehicle, or where it had come from or was headed.
Dudley's family could not be reached Thursday.
"Our deepest sympathies are with the family and loved ones of the Lyft passenger who was tragically killed," said Alexandra LaManna, a spokeswoman for Lyft.
