A Camden man charged earlier this month with raping two women has been accused of at least two additional attacks, police announced Tuesday.
Reynaldo Nieves, 35, was initially arrested April 3 for assaults that occurred March 26 and April 2, according to investigators.
In both cases, Nieves allegedly lured the victims into an abandoned warehouse at Sixth and Jackson streets and sexually assaulted them. Police said he brandished a knife during the first incident and a handgun during the second.
Nieves was hit with more charges Monday for allegedly luring a woman into the same warehouse on Nov. 24. Police said, once inside, Nieves choked, sexually assaulted and robbed the victim.
The woman reported the assault to police at the time but was reluctant to cooperate further until she saw news of Nieves' arrest, according to investigators.
Nieves is also accused of attempting to lure a 14-year-old girl as she walked near Dudley Grange Park on March 23.
Police said Nieves was identified as the perpetrator after detectives noted similarities between his photo and a composite sketch of the suspect in that crime.
Nieves was charged Monday with attempted luring, as well as additional counts of aggravated sexual assault, robbery, making terroristic threats, criminal restraint and aggravated assault.
Nieves has been imprisoned at the Camden County Jail since his arrest. His bail was increased Monday by $1 million and now stands at $3 million cash or bond.
Camden County police detectives are asking that any potential victims of or witnesses to Nieves' alleged crimes call the Special Victims Unit at 856-757-7042.
