A Willingboro man has been charged with murder for allegedly running down his brother with a car last month.

A Willingboro man has been charged with murder for allegedly running down his brother with a car last month.

Burlington County prosecutors said Lyle Person, 33, also faces charges of death by auto, obstructing the administration of justice, and hindering apprehension.

Lyle Person is accused of intentionally striking his brother, 31-year-old Lee Person, on Beverly-Rancocas Road on March 14. The brothers had been arguing at a relative's home just before the incident, according to investigators.

After being hit, Lee Person was airlifted to Cooper University Hospital, where he died March 19. The Medical Examiner ruled his death to be a homicide from multiple injuries suffered during the strike.

Lyle Person was initially charged with assault by auto, knowingly leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident resulting in serious bodily injury, and other motor vehicle-related offenses.

After his brother's death, the charges were amended to include leaving the scene of a fatal accident. Consolidated bail was set at $150,000.

Bail on the recently upgraded charges now stands at $350,000. Prosecutors said the amount will be reviewed during the suspect's first Superior Court appearance, which will likely be scheduled for Thursday.

Lyle Person's girlfriend, 32-year-old April Palmer, is accused of trying to conceal the damaged BMW the suspect allegedly used to run down his brother.

Palmer, of Mount Holly, is charged with obstructing the administration of law and hindering apprehension. Her bail was set at $50,000.

The investigation into the incident is being overseen by detectives from the Willingboro Police Department and Burlington County Prosecutor's Office.
