Man found shot to death in hotel hallway
A 22-year-old man from Atlantic City was found shot to death yesterday inside a Howard Johnson Inn in Egg Harbor Township, authorities said.
A 22-year-old man from Atlantic City was found shot to death yesterday inside a Howard Johnson Inn in Egg Harbor Township, authorities said.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said hotel staff at the Black Horse Pike inn discovered the body of Kaneil Harris, 22, inside the inn about 11 a.m. Sunday.
His body was found in a hallway, not a room.
Officials have not announced an arrest and said no charges have yet been filed.
However, they said they expect to release additional information soon.
The Press of Atlantic City reported that the investigation brought police to a home on the 800 block of Broad Street in Pleasantville. Law enforcement from several departments surrounded the home shortly after 1 p.m. Sunday and took three occupants away in handcuffs.
