Police, FBI seek Egg Harbor bank bandit

Authorities are looking for a suspect in the robbery of the Wells Fargo bank inside the Harbor Square shopping center in Egg Harbor Township, N.J.

Authorities are looking for a man who robbed a bank in Egg Harbor Township, N.J. Wednesday morning.

The man handed a demand note to a teller at the Wells Fargo inside the Harbor Square shopping center shortly after 9:15 a.m., according to investigators.

Although the suspect's note stated he was armed, no weapon was displayed, police said.

He made away with an undisclosed amount of cash, fleeing in a black or dark-blue newer-model Chevrolet Malibu or similar vehicle, according to police.

No injuries were reported.

Investigators with the Egg Harbor Township Police Department, assisted by local FBI agents, combed the area for the suspect, to no avail.

He is described as a 5-foot-6-inch- to 5-foot-10-inch-tall Hispanic male in his 30s with short-shaven hair. He was last seen wearing aviator-style sunglasses, black pants with a white stripe, and a gray puffy jacket.
