Two lanes of Interstate 295 in N.J. closed as Memorial Day traffic begins

A flatbed tractor trailer loaded with sheet rock crashed along with a second vehicle on Interstate 295 in Mercer County, N.J., shortly before 2:30 p.m., killing the driver of the second vehicle and forcing state police to close two northbound, left lanes on the highway.

Traffic in the area of Exit 61 is expected to be heavy through the rush hour as investigators continue to work at the crash scene. State police said a third vehicle may have been involved, but a cause of the crash has not been determined.
