Witnesses sought in Lindenwold shooting that wounded Philadelphia man

A shooting in Lindenwold, N.J. wounded a Philadelphia man early Saturday, and investigators are appealing to the public for information about the crime.

Investigators have issued a public appeal for information about a shooting in Lindenwold, N.J. that wounded a Philadelphia man early Saturday.

A private vehicle brought the 25-year-old victim to Kennedy University Hospital in Stratford shortly before 12:30 a.m., according to a joint news release from the Camden County Prosecutor's Office and Lindenwold Police Department.

He had been shot once through the cheek.

The man was transferred to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where he was treated and released.

Investigators believe he may have been shot near the Arborwood apartment complex shortly after midnight.

There are no suspects in the crime, and police are asking for potential witnesses to come forward.
