Police say 2 who drowned in South Jersey lake were brothers
The bodies were pulled from Crystal Lake in Vineland.
Police identified two men whose bodies were pulled Wednesday night from a lake in South Jersey as brothers.
Otoniel Bautista-Vargas, 30, and Saul Bautista-Vargas, 27, were pulled from Crystal Lake at South Vineland Park, Vineland police said Thursday. There were no signs of foul play and authorities believe the victims likely drowned accidentally.
Police were alerted to the deaths when a caller reported that he was fishing on the lake and saw two bodies submerged in the water. The Downe Township Dive Team retrieved the victims from the water.
Fishing gear and other personal items belonging to the men were found at the scene.
