Fiery three-car crash closes South Jersey’s Route 42 at start of morning rush
The northbound lanes of the North-South Freeway have reopened after the crash in Gloucester Township.

A fiery three-vehicle crash closed the northbound lanes of Route 42 in South Jersey for about two hours at the start of Thursday's morning rush hour.
The occupants of the vehicles all escaped without serious injuries in the pile-up about 6:30 a.m. in Gloucester Township before Exit 12.
The highway partially reopened about 8:30 a.m. and fully reopened a half-hour later. Most morning rush-hour traffic on the highway is northbound.
TV helicopter video from the scene showed two SUVs and a sedan engulfed in flames, spewing thick black smoke before firefighters extinguished the blaze.
Traffic was backed up for miles behind the accident scene.
New Jersey State Police are investigating.
