Pedestrian fatally struck in Bucks County

A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle Friday evening in Bucks County, authorities said.

The accident occurred about 6:20 p.m. on the southbound side of Route 1 south of Street Road in Bensalem.

The person was pronounced dead at the scene and Route 1 was temporarily shut down for the police investigation. No further information was immediately available.
