PATCO raises price of SEPTA transfers

Effective Monday, the price of a round-trip SEPTA transfer at New Jersey PATCO stations will cost $2.40, an increase of 30 cents, PATCO said yesterday.

The transfers, used by about 3,700 riders a week, permit PATCO passengers to ride on SEPTA subway, trolley and bus lines and are to be priced 50 cents below the cost of two SEPTA tokens. The hike was triggered last fall by SEPTA's move to raise the price of a token to $1.45, up 15 cents.
