Man accused in Fla. robberies arrested in Camden

Police in Camden yesterday arrested a Florida man accused of being part of a crew suspected in 53 armed bank robberies in the Miami area, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.

Investigators were tipped that Ahmad Adams, 22, was in Camden, possibly staying with someone he knew in the 400 block of Haddon Avenue. Officers went to the home around 11 a.m. Adams, who was outside the home, spotted the officers and ducked inside, authorities said.

Officers searched the home, but found nothing. Around 1:30 p.m., investigators found Adams in the adjacent house and arrested him without incident. They suspect that Adams climbed out a window and went across the roof to the adjacent house, which was unoccupied.
