Woman hit with brick, raped in Kensington

The rape of a 28-year-old woman who was hit in the head with a brick in Kensington early Friday morning is still under investigation, police said yesterday.

The incident occurred in the 2000 block of Dreer Street about 2:30 a.m., according to police. The woman, who was treated at an area hospital for a head injury and released, described her attacker as a black male between the ages of 35 and 40, from 5-foot-11 to 6-foot-2, wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans, and carrying a black backpack.
