Willingboro man held on charges of buying guns

A Willingboro man has been arrested on charges of buying guns in Georgia and bringing them to New Jersey, authorities said.

A Willingboro man has been arrested on charges of buying guns in Georgia and bringing them to New Jersey, authorities said.

Terrek Parker, 20, surrendered to authorities on Monday, according to the U.S. District Attorney's Office.

Investigators believe Parker was transporting guns from Georgia because they are less expensive there. Parker is also accused of having someone else buy some of the guns for him as a straw buyer. If asked about the guns, that buyer planned to report them stolen, officials said.

Parker has been arrested at least twice since 2007 on weapons charges, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office. He is being held pending his return to Georgia to face the charges.
