Camden man held in shooting death at bar

A 29-year-old Camden man was arrested Sunday just hours after allegedly shooting to death a 30-year-old at a bar near Von Neida Park, the Camden County Prosecutor's Office said yesterday.

Jose Sosa of the 1200 block of North 32d Street was shot inside the Waterview Bar in the 2900 block of Adams Avenue about 12:30 a.m., according to police.

Jamie Martin Centeno, 29, was arrested 21/2 hours after the killing, at his home in the 1100 block of North 28th Street. He is being held on $750,000 bail.

Centeno and Sosa had been in the bar together before Centeno left. He then returned and shot Sosa, police said. There was no apparent fight leading to the killing, police said, and the cause is under investigation.
