Rowan to sell Alumni House to aid state

Rowan University announced yesterday that it planned to sell its Alumni House and give the expected $415,000 in proceeds to the state.

The property will be used for a roundabout and a parking lot in the Rowan Boulevard project, said spokesman Jose Cardona. The university does not have to sell the entire 1.1-acre property, but Cardona said it decided to help the state in financially challenging times. Rowan's alumni operations will move to the second floor of the Hollybush mansion on the Glassboro campus.
