Three die in predawn crash on icy Pa. Turnpike
HARRISBURG - Two adults and a child from Georgia died in a crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike yesterday.
Turnpike spokesman Carl DeFebo said that in addition to the three killed, a child was seriously injured in the predawn wreck 14 miles east of Harrisburg. The child is being treated for burns at Hershey Medical Center.
All the victims were in a pickup truck that caught fire after crashing in freezing rain. DeFebo said the victims were from Georgia and headed for New York state. Their names were not immediately released.
