Woman, 43, stabbed to death in her apartment

A 43-year-old woman was stabbed to death yesterday in her Northeast Philadelphia apartment in what police were describing as a domestic crime.

Police Sgt. Bob Wilkins said Helen Wollaver, of the 3700 block of Genesee Drive in the Far Northeast, was pronounced dead at 7:25 a.m. as a result of a single stab wound.

Wilkins said the attack followed an argument between Wollaver and her boyfriend, who was in police custody yesterday afternoon.
