A 52-year-old motorcyclist was killed yesterday in Chadds Ford when his bike collided with a car on Baltimore Pike.
Christopher Leslie of Chadds Ford was riding his 2005 Harley-Davidson at 2:50 p.m. when he tried to turn from Heyburn Road onto Baltimore Pike, state police said.
The driver of a 1997 Nissan Maxima who was northbound on Baltimore Pike did not have time to stop. The motorcycle struck the car's passenger side and Leslie was thrown off, police said.
Leslie, who was wearing a helmet, was flown to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
