Superintendent Arlene Ackerman will present a blueprint for the Philadelphia school system's future at a meeting tomorrow.
District personnel and community members have been working on the five-year plan since shortly after Ackerman arrived in Philadelphia in June. Working groups have been tackling specific areas since December.
Ackerman has said the plan would focus on five areas: "student success, school choice, great staff, accountability for all, and world-class business operations."
She will present a draft at the School Reform Commission meeting scheduled for 2 p.m. in the district's headquarters, 440 N. Broad St. The public will be asked to comment before the plan is presented to the commission for final approval March 18. - Kristen A. Graham
