A dispatcher for the Gloucester County Communications Center has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child for allegedly possessing hundreds of child-pornography images on his home computer.
A dispatcher for the Gloucester County Communications Center has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child for allegedly possessing hundreds of child-pornography images on his home computer.
Nicholas J. Zelinsky, 55, of the 200 block of Vermillion Lane, Glassboro, was released on recognizance yesterday after his arrest Wednesday night.
Zelinsky has been suspended from his job at the communications center in Clayton, according to the county prosecutor's office. If convicted, he faces up to 18 months in jail. The images showed children as young as 6 being sexually abused, officials said.
The investigation was conducted by Monroe police, who participate in the state Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. - Jan Hefler
