A 21-year-old man was in critical condition after he was shot last night in front of his 2-year-old son and the child's mother in West Philadelphia, police said.

The man, whose name was not released, was walking with the woman and his son about 8 p.m. at 60th and Chancellor Streets when a man in a red hooded sweatshirt approached, Lt. John Walker said.
The attacker fired five shots, striking the man in the groin, a leg, and an arm, Walker said. The victim was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. No arrests were reported. - Robert Moran
