Uniformed police officers will work at a McDonald's in West Philadelphia today to raise money for children.
The officers will take orders and serve the public as McDonald's promotes a new line of espresso-based coffees and donates a portion of the profits to the 19th District Christmas Fund, officials said. The fund pays for presents donated to needy families.
The officers will volunteer from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McDonald's at 1575 N. 52d St. in Parkside. - Barbara Boyer
