Montco man gets 121/4 years for bank robberies

Christopher Larue, 30, of North Wales, was sentenced yesterday to 12 years and three months in prison for five bank robberies in less than a month in 2007 in Bucks and Montgomery Counties, according to U.S. Attorney Michael L. Levy.

Larue pleaded guilty in January to robbing Fulton Bank, 378 N. Main St., Doylestown; Abington Savings Bankat, 1526 Easton Rd., Horsham, Bucks First Federal Credit Union, 1452 Easton Rd., Warrington; Sovereign Bank, 797 Broad St., Doylestown; and PNC Bank, 501 N. Broad St., Lansdale.

He had been charged with four counts of bank robbery, one count of armed bank robbery, and one count of carrying a firearm during a crime of violence.
