Search for missing angler at Nockamixon State Park

Park police and divers at Nockamixon State Park in Bucks County searched yesterday for a man whose empty boat was found near a boat launch.

The man's family reported him missing after he failed to return from a fishing trip to the park three days earlier, Pennsylvania State Police said.

The swamped boat was found yesterday afternoon near the Haycock boat launch at the northern end of the park, off Route 563 just north of Top Rock Trail.

Volunteer divers helped search. Police did not release the man's name. - Dan Hardy
