Point Pleasant Beach police say 25-year-old Johnson Thomas was in the water near the Manasquan Inlet when a large wave separated him from his two friends Monday night. The Coast Guard found Thomas unresponsive in the water.
A Coast Guard member began cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and Thomas was taken to Ocean Medical Center in Brick, where he was pronounced dead. - AP
