PITTSBURGH - The owners of Pittsburgh's iconic Iron City Brewing Co. are moving production about 40 miles away, to the City Brewing Co. location in Latrobe, president Tim Hickman said Thursday.

He said making changes to the company's current facility would be too costly. He did not say how many jobs would be affected after Iron City brews its last batch of beer in Pittsburgh in late June.

The brewery's union workers took a pay cut in 2007 to stave off a bankruptcy filing. Iron City has been beset by financial problems and ownership changes for several years.

Iron City's headquarters will remain in Pittsburgh, Hickman said. - AP
