Two Center City banks held up; robber sought

A man robbed the Citizens Bank at 1515 Market St. yesterday morning and is believed responsible for another Center City bank robbery the day before, the FBI said.

The robber entered the branch at 11:10 a.m. and demanded money, indicating that he was armed, officials said. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. The man may have red dye stains on his skin or clothes, the FBI said.

The robbery on Friday took place at the Bank of America at 1600 JFK Blvd. The same man is being sought in both cases, the FBI said in a news release, describing him as 5-foot-9 with a medium build.
