Philly Pops concert at Independence Hall July 3

The sixth annual Pops on Independence concert, featuring Peter Nero, the Philly Pops, and the Voices of the Pops, will be held on the Friday before the Fourth of July.

The free concert, at 8:30 p.m. July 3 in front of Independence Hall, will feature a blend of patriotic tunes and popular classics, and a reading of the Declaration of Independence by an actor portraying Thomas Jefferson.

The event is sponsored by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Independence National Historical Park, Independence Visitor Center Corp., and Historic Philadelphia Inc. - Kia Gregory
