Five members of a network that prosecutors said had been capable of trafficking $400,000 a month worth of cocaine were sentenced this week to prison by Montgomery County Judge Steven T. O'Neill.

Shannon McKeiver, Derrick Thompson, Mark Carr, and Janet Washington - all of Philadelphia - and Kevin Jordan of Lansdale were arrested in March 2008 for roles in distributing cocaine in the Philadelphia region and convicted this month.

Their minimum prison sentences ranged from six years to 25 years. Accomplice Tawanda Brookins of Philadelphia is to be sentenced later, and 16 more defendants are expected to plead guilty, Attorney General Tom Corbett's office said in a statement. - Derrick Nunnally
