Service on the line was suspended after the accident, which occurred at 5600 Newtown Ave. near the Lawndale station around 9 p.m., said SEPTA spokesman Gary Fairfax.
The man, whose name was not released, was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center where he later died, Fairfax said. - Robert Moran
