6 shot in Germantown; injuries not serious

Six people were shot - none with life-threatening injuries - in the city's Germantown neighborhood last night, police said.

Bullets were flying in the 100 block of Apsley Street shortly after 10 p.m., police said. Some of the victims suffered gunshot wounds to their arms or legs. One received a graze wound to the head. The five men and one woman were taken to area hospitals.

Police reported no arrests. There was no immediate information about what prompted the gunfire, or how many shooters were involved. - Robert Moran
