A service is set for 6 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church on Walnut Street for the Beverly Hills Middle School students. Philmon Beyene, 12, who had been placed in a medically induced coma, was making "great progress" at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood said yesterday. "He's moving his eyes, and his vital signs are stronger," Chitwood said. Jemel Brunswick, 13, who also had been in critical condition, was "up, alert, talking, and eating solid food," Chitwood said. Tyler Lowery, 12, was "doing well" and in stable condition, Chitwood said.
Dawn Denise Snell, 42, of Lansdowne, remained jailed yesterday on $1 million bail in connection with the Tuesday crash on Marshall Road. - Inquirer staff
